Check out this November wedding. Yes. That’s right. November. Winter. Look at those blue skies!
North Cadbury Court is an amazing country house down in Somerset. Its owned by the Montgomery family (who are famous for their Cheddar cheese factfans!) and the village is said to be the site of King Arthur’s Camelot.
The house itself is just as interesting as its location and owners. It’s huge but feels so cosy and welcoming. As Nikki and Mark were there all weekend with their guests it felt like a home from home. Albeit a home with a swimming pool and a golf course. Speaking of the golf course, the first tee is on the roof! We headed up there for a few portraits and some incredible views of the countryside.
As everything was happening in one place it made for a really relaxed morning. I started out with Nikki and the girls in the gorgeous bridal suite. They were so chilled out and spent all morning laughing together as they got ready. I also got change to photograph Mark and his groomsmen getting ready. It’s a real bonus when everyone is getting ready in the same venue that I can cover both morning preparations.
The ceremony took place in the oak panelled hall. That November sun was streaming through the windows and I love how their faces just lit up when they saw each other. It’s moments like that that I love!
North Cadbury Court wedding
I know it’s a cliche but weddings like this remind me how lucky I am to do this as a job! I spend my weekends (and some weekdays!) surrounded by such happy people having the best party. It’s ace!
This particular wedding party was one of the best. The dancefloor was heaving all night and the the moves were nothing short of epic! There is a lot of photo evidence below!
Are you planning a party where you just happen to get married first?! If so then give me a shout! I’d love to talk to you about your wedding photography.
