Lake District wedding photography at New House Farm
This was such a fab day, when a Scottish boy and an animal mad girl from the Lakes get married it’s a wedding full of joy, driving about the hills…and horses!
Stuart and Amy got married at the beautifully rustic New House Farm, which is a lovely, 17th century farmhouse and outbuildings set in acres of stunning countryside in the Lake District. The girls got ready onsite in the attached b&b which meant that they also got to spy on all the guests as they gathered at the venue before heading to the church! The ceremony was held at the local church, which the girls travelled to in a vintage campervan. They chose New House Farm because it’s so cosy and relaxed and they could totally personalise it. Amy had decorated the barn with teacups, photo frames and all kinds of pretty vintage items and it worked so well with the feel of the place.
Amy and Stuart wanted loads of relaxed photos of them and their guests, with minimal standing around for photos. Right up my street! We did jump in the camper and head into the hills for a few photos though – well it would be rude not to when we’re surrounded by epic scenery!
Amy and Stuart’s’s wedding was so chilled and was just the happiest occasion full of laughter and the odd tear. Massive shout out to Amy’s nan who spent the first part of the day hiding from my camera but ended up loving having her photo taken!
I love shooting weddings at the Lake District because, well, it’s flipping gorgeous isn’t it! Everywhere you look there is a completely stunning view and it’s a dream for a photographer. Anyway, enough waffle from me. Here’s their gorgeous wedding!
