Thank you so much for our fabulous photos! We absolutely love them. And thank you for getting them to us so quickly, we’ve been so excited to see them.
Just wanted to say as well, it was so great having you there with us all day. You were such a positive and friendly presence, and a joy to have around. Thanks for making us feel as close to at ease as possible for our portraits!
It’s emails like the above that make me smile a lot. I had so much fun being a part of Anna and Tom’s wedding. And good to know that I made them feel at ease during portraits! As a documentary photographer I get a lot of couples, like Anna and Tom, telling me how much they hate being in front of the camera and that they’re sure they’ll be the most awkward couple I’ve ever worked with! Whilst the beauty of my style of photography means that for the majority of the day you can just get on with enjoying your day with your family and friends there is a point where most couples want a few portraits together and this is the bit that most people tell me that they dread! I promise it’s not as bad as you think though. I keep these times nice and relaxed. As long as you guys can hug, have a laugh together and have the odd kiss then you’ll be fine!
So, back to Anna and Tom. These guys held their wedding ceremony at the beautiful Tabley House in Cheshire. I’ve photographed here before and always love it. It’s a gorgeous ceremony room, full of light and beautiful antiques. The surroundings are glorious too, with views over the Cheshire countryside.
The Hall at Marthall wedding photography
After the ceremony and a few drinks at Tabley Hall we headed off to the Hall at Marthall. This is a modern, eco-friendly village hall set in the picturesque village of Marthall in Cheshire. You’ll see from the photos how it’s a blank canvas inside meaning that couples can really put their own stamp on it. Outside Tom and Anna had made sure that there were plenty of games to keep the guests entertained – these always make for great photos too!
Tom and Anna, thank you so much for having me along. I loved being part of your day.
