Garthmyl Hall wedding photography

Nick got in touch with me after seeing that Helen had liked my Facebook page. After browsing through the albums and my website he got in touch and told me all about him and Helen – I’ve got to say I love it when I learn so much about the people who get in touch!

They both met when they were teaching at a school in France and got together after a few glasses of cheap wine (Nick’s words!) They then spent the early years of their relationship in different parts of the country and even on different continents at some points before moving in together and then getting engaged. Nick, the old romantic, took Helen to one of their favourite spots in Shropshire to pop the question!

The wedding itself took place the beautiful Garthmyl Hall in on the Wales / Shropshire border. A relatively new wedding venue it immediately stole my heart. The family that run the hall are so lovely and can’t do enough for the couples getting married there. One of the best things about it is that the Hall is exclusive use and the couple and their families and friends get it for the entire weekened. It makes the wedding feel like one big house party and means everyone really lets their hair down and enjoys themselves.

Nick and Helen had planned their wedding to make the most of the time of year with lots of seasonal colours and beautiful country flowers. They also used the colours of Helen’s engagement ring for inspiration (sapphire, diamond and gold) and the whole venue looked incredible. There were so many personal touches dotted around that made the day feel very much ‘them’.

If you’re getting married at Garthmyl Hall and are looking for a wedding photographer I’d love to chat to you. Please get in touch.
