So many wedding suppliers tell me how much they love Eaves Hall so when I got chance to photograph Chris and Hayley’s wedding there I was over the moon!

Now I always say I’m a people photographer, and that’s true. Regardless of the venue, the weather, wedding styling as long as you’ve got a load of people having a great time then I’m happy. However it’s always an added bonus when you arrive at a stunning venue where you know the staff are fab and will make sure the couple have a stress free wedding day. Sometimes things get “bigged up” don’t they and then never quite live up to expectations…so I was hugely relieved when that wasn’t the case with Eaves Hall.

The day started at The Lodge which is set at the end of the driveway and is the perfect place to spend the night before the wedding and then get ready in peace. With the best will in the world a wedding morning can always end up slightly tense as the ceremony draws nearer so knowing you just need to pop down the road to get married is a relief for the couple!

Hayley was getting ready with her sisters and nieces so it was a really lively, excited atmosphere when I arrived at The Lodge. We then headed up to the main house so Hayley could put the final touches to her makeup before putting her dress on and heading off to marry her Chris.

The rest of the day was the type of celebration that makes my job easy – enthusiastic, smiley guests and super happy couple. I loved every minute!
