Belmount Hall wedding - a little boy crawls through legs

A pretty damn gorgeous couple. Belmount Hall, which is one of my favourite venues. An amazing wedding. This is Rosie and David’s day…

Oh, and that photo up there, it’s one of my favourites from the year!

Belmount Hall wedding photography

Let me start with a bit of  a rave about Belmount Hall. It’s hands down one of my favourite venues. Firstly it’s in the Lake District so it’s set in some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK. It’s about a mile from Hawkshead which is a tiny higgeldy piggeldy village that I love pottering around. It’s run by the loveliest family who have two gorgeous labradors (I’m a sucker for dogs!) and the food is incredible! Trust me. If you’re still on the hunt for a wedding venue then you need to go and check it out.

Oh, and you also get to take over the whole Hall for your wedding so it becomes your home for the weekend. That means your wedding is basically one giant house party!

Hawkshead church wedding ceremony

Rosie and David held their wedding ceremony at Hawkshead Church which sits on a hill just above the village. The views from it are amazing and it was lovely to see everyone gathered outside chatting to David before the ceremony.

I love Rosie’s face as she walked down the aisle towards her David. She looks so excited! I also loved watching their son Ted throughout the ceremony. He pulled so many cheeky faces!

Wedding at Belmount Hall

Once the ceremony was done and Rosie and Dave had walked down the longest confetti aisle ever (I do love a confetti walk!) we all headed back to Belmount to party. Everyone enjoyed the grounds – the secret gardens are great hiding places for the kids – whilst the three of us went off for a wander to get some portraits. It was then speech time. Always my favourite part of the day, I knew these would be good ‘uns. They didn’t disappoint! From the masks of Rosie and David that her Mum had made, to the ribbing that David got from his best men, it was hilarious. We then hit the dance floor and partied the night away.

If you’re getting married and are looking for a Belmount Hall wedding photographer then give me a shout. It’s incredible and I love shooting there!
