These guys! They were so chilled out and full of smiles the whole day. Plus they served Irn Bru at the reception in a nod to Roxanne’s Scottish family!
Wedding photographer at King Street Townhouse
Roxanne and Shehzad held their wedding at Manchester’s King Street Townhouse which is a gorgeous hotel based in the old Salford Trustees Bank building. It’s a wonderful mix of stunning architecture and really modern design inside. They’ve also just opened a small cinema/screening room in the cellar which I can’t wait to visit!
This was a small, family wedding before Roxanne and Shehzad jetted off to Mauritius on honeymoon to say some additional vows on a beach. At King Street they held an Islamic service (this meant they each said they vows separately in front of their families) before coming together to exchange rings.
In the morning I met up with Roxanne and her family as they waited downstairs at the hotel before heading up to the Terrace with her father and brothers to greet Shehzad and his family. After a lot of hugs and exchanging of flower garlands it was time for Roxanne’s vows. These were witnessed by her family before her Dad went back up to the terrace to witness Shehzad signing the register. He then proudly walked Roxanne down the aisle to meet Shehzad where they exchanged rings in front of everyone. Cue more hugging!
We then had a wander round the streets of Manchester to get some photos of the two of them together before heading back to spend time with their family and friends. When we first met up Roxanne and Shehzad told me they’d been overjoyed to find out how wonderful the Indian food was at King Street and it didn’t disappoint. Quite possibly one of the best wedding meals I’ve ever had!
One of my favourite parts about King Street Townhouse is the beautiful terrace which looks over Manchester’s skyline. This was where everyone gathered after the wedding ceremony to catch up with each other and take in the amazing views. We spent most of the day out there making the most of the Manchester sunshine!
Roxanne and Shehzad, thank you so much for having me along to capture your day. I loved it!
