2012 so far...weddings

So far 2012 has seen some amazing weddings, all over the country - and I've had the chance to work with some fantastic couples at gorgeous venues including Gorton Monastry, Farington Lodge in Preston, the beautiful Rivington Barn, Ashton Court in Bristol and Rotherwick Village Hall which lent itself perfectly to Lil and Brett's unique wedding day. I also documented Erica Stacey Bridalwear's video shoot at Congleton's boutique hotel, Alexandra Court.

These are some of my favourite images from the year so far...

Then today I photographed Chris and Vic's day at Singleton Lodge - conveniently just around the corner from where I live! Here's a few 'sneak peeks' from their wedding...

Chris and Vic's Lytham pre-wedding shoot

On Saturday I'm photographing Chris and Vic's wedding at Singleton Lodge in Poulton-le-Fylde. We met up on a drizzly morning to have a chat about their wedding and get some photographs of them both along Lytham prom.

An 'almost drowning on the jetty' aside we managed to dodge the majority of the rain and get these shots...

Chris and Casey's Ruthin Castle wedding

Chris and Casey were married at the beautiful Ruthin Castle in Denbighshire last year.

The day started out at Casey's house where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready...

I then set off for the church in Ruthin centre to meet Jonty Yearsley, a wedding photographer friend of mine who was helping me out and got some great shots during the day, including these two shots below.

Ceremony over, confetti thrown, we headed to Ruthin Castle to start the celebrations!

Sarah & Joe - Rivington Barn pre-wedding shoot

Tomorrow one of my favourite people gets married to her Joe...and I get to photograph their wedding! I can't wait. I'm a huge mix of excitement, nerves, knowing I could (embarrassingly) burst into tears as they say their vows and I'm stood at the front of the church...

This time last year we headed up to Rivington, where they're getting married, and shot some photographs for them to use as Save the Date cards.

So last year I headed out with my lovely friend, Ashley, to get some headshots for his portfolio. Fast forward to now and he's off shooting films, hob-nobbing with stars and generally being all successful...I'd like to think it was down to these pictures but really it's because he's a talented little superstar!

His best friend, and stunning model, Lisa came along as well and we got a few shots of her at the end of the shoot.

Neil and Debbie - sneak peek

Neil and Debbie got married last month at Farington Lodge, Preston.

Debbie is a hugely talented wedding stationer (www.graftedandcrafted.co.uk) - we met last year at the Brides Up North Tweet Up - and, as you'd expect her wedding was full of fantastic details!

Here are just a few shots from the day (including one of their beautiful daughter).

Liz and Matt - Caerphilly Castle wedding

So a year ago this week I travelled down to Caerphilly to photograph Liz and Matt's wedding at the gorgeous Caerphilly Castle.

The day started in, what felt like, the middle of nowhere at the cottage where Liz, her family and bridesmaids were getting ready before we all headed up to the Castle.

Liz and Matt - pre-wedding shoot

It's just been Liz and Matt's first wedding anniversary (that's how slow I am at blogging!) so thought it was high time I got their pre-wedding shoot and wedding blogged.

We met up the month before their wedding in Birmingham. There's a great area in and around the Custard Factory which makes for brilliant photos so we dodged the rain and managed to get some shots.
