Zanzibar…

Last month I headed out to Zanzibar for a few days after I’d finished in Tanzania. After spending 4 months documenting Raleigh’s work I decided to set a little ‘challenge’ for myself, heading out into Stone Town just armed with my camera and a 50mm lens to see what I could find. A lot it turns out from the beaches to the crowded Spice Market to the far more ‘local’ fish market…

These are some of my favourite photos from that day.

Sneak peek! Laura and Stu’s Shaw Hill wedding, Lancashire

On Saturday I was lucky enough to shoot a very special wedding – not only were my good friends Stu and Laura the bride and groom but I was shooting alongside another great friend (and fantastic wedding photographer) Neil Redfern!

This is just a quick sneak peek for now, but the full blog post will be up very soon…

PS. not only is Laura a beautiful bride she’s also a brilliant florist and did all her own flowers for the day. Be sure to get in touch with her at Laurel Weddings.

Sneak peek! Rosamund and Mike’s Shropshire wedding…

What an all round brilliant day yesterday was! Rosamund and Mike’s wedding was absolutely perfect from start to finish – from the hand-made brides and bridesmaid bouquets to the traditional Nigerian drummers that greeted guests at the church and just the general ‘loveliness’ of everyone at the wedding!

Here are just a few for Rosamund and Mike before they head off on honeymoon…

I love the bride’s hair and the flowers she is wearing on it, it is definitely the perfect hair for backlighting!

Rosamund and Mike’s pre-wedding shoot in Castlefield

Tomorrow I’m off to Shropshire to photograph Rosamund and Mike’s wedding. I can’t wait, from what they’ve told me it sounds like it’s going to be amazing!

We met up last Bank Holiday for a coffee and a wander around Castlefield. They were both very nervous before the shoot but they’re complete naturals in front of the camera, nothing to be scared of at all!
